Spin Class – suitable for first-time or experienced spinners – suitable for intermediate and advanced fitness levels

Spinning has seen a significant surge in global popularity in recent years – why?  The answer is quite simple – spinning provides superb cardio, fat-burning and lactic threshold training to music – all wrapped up into a 45 minute session!  If you have a sports watch that can calculate heart rate zones and calories expended spinning you’ll be amazed at the results you achieve whilst spinning!  With an instructor leading from the front you’ll be welcomed as part of a team and shown how to setup your bike, and safe spinning technique throughout.  Be warned – you’ll find it’s quite addictive once you start!

Wake-Up Wrkout

Body Tone – all levels of fitness and experience welcome

‘Body Tone’ is a total body workout designed to give you a good wake-up for the Friday and the coming weekend! Sessions vary weekly to develop cardio fitness, strength, stamina and flexibility.  Every exercise can be modified to suit the fitness level of the individual – a lovely group who’ll welcome you as part of the Wake-Up Workout Team!

Super Seniors

Active Plus – exercise class designed for the elderly and/or less mobile

Calne Leisure Centre (SN11 0SP), 1105-1200, free to leisure centre members, non-members for £5 paid at reception – every Friday

This fun session is set to a variety of music spanning the decades from the 1950s to the present.  The session is mainly chair-based with some standing exercises designed to develop flexibility, strength and endurance.  Ideal for the senior aged, those with mobility limitations, or those looking to get back into exercise.  So come along, enjoy some exercise and a good natter whilst we’re at it!
